With very little planning Gina and Sam tackle the big issues: Gun control.  Abortion.  Office holiday parties.  And probably some other cringe-worthy stuff that Sam didn't want to listen back to.

Episode 8: Bono-fide

Becoming Bad Ass

Style prediction: Lincoln.

Gracie does not approve.

A movie review of Lincoln (who knew the ending would be so unhappy?) reveals that Sam doesn't know specifics about history.  In other movie news: Sam watching 30 minutes of Becoming Chaz leads to the majority of the show, with Gina discussing being the parent of a transgendered child.  Somehow this causes Gina to come out for Sam, despite the fact that Sam is horrified by old lady boobs.

Episode 7: Gift Giving Made Difficult

Sam tries to steal her great aunt's husband with the Thriller dance.

Gina – ever the radio personality – has to be reminded how to use a microphone, by an amateur, while telling about her accidental pumpkin pie recipe (which was delicious!) and talks about a proposal she witnessed today (or actually, Sam reads her Facebook post about it in her best impersonation), which then leads to how she met her husband and how he quickly proposed, which sounds a heckuva lot better than the stories from her friends. Later, she tries to get out of Sam her Christmas wish list. Sam, ever the thoughtless child, fails to ask her what she would like.

Keeping with this, Sam tells of an amazing first Christmas present from her boyfriend, and her embarrassingly unenthusiastic reaction. Plus: how this year she’s giving that boyfriend a birthday/Christmas gift like the kind Jewish grandmother would.

Then they excitedly go out with a Carol Channing song. Who’s Carol Channing? Channing Tatum’s namesake. Maybe not.

Southern Lady Voodoo involves blessing hearts.

 Sam hates how cold, dark and overcrowded Seattle is, but pokes a little fun at Spokane and their famous people (Bing Crosby, Kitty Kelley and some serial killer guy).  She also tells of receiving mental health advice from Patty Duke, and gets the idea that Gina has been orchestrating a conspiracy to get grandchildren, which involves being given terrible birth control advice from a “resource nurse”.

Gina, after having severe drinking problems before the show, is thankful for stuff, tells the truth behind the phrase "Bless Their Heart", and hates on a mystery BMX rider who crashed on her floor for a night and has not been heard from since he departed her house years ago.

Plus: Fan letters #5 AND #6! Nevermind that #5 was written by the author of #1, that's amazing!

Sam excitedly tells tales of a rare outing on a Saturday night, which included learning that lounges don't feature crooners, as depicted in old movies she watched as a kid in the 90's.

Gina celebrates a wedding anniversary early, since she'll be at a support group for spouses of people with Alzheimer's on the big day. Also, she gives tips of how to deal with headaches as detailed in O Magazine.  Note: O Magazine isn't as sexy as it sounds.

To pick up the slack from Sam's rough-week-hangover, Gina decides to discuss the living arrangements and the husband/father/all around old guy of the house having Alzheimer’s.  Later, Gina tries to examine a parent’s influence on their children’s political views, and in an attempt to show she’s not brain washed, Sam tries to categorize Sarah Palin as a feminist.

Sam butchers facts, tells of her fear of dolls and mannequins, makes references to various television shows, introduces Gina to Bob Ross and the Hollywood Exes (unrelated), recites Dr Drew’s argument against heavy marijuana use, repeatedly gives the wrong website/email addresses (www.everyoneandtheirmomshow.com) and reads Fan Letter #3…written by the author of Fan Letter #2.

All this, and tales of how the gals were scammed into talking to boys.

Episode 3: Hard Work Pays Nothing

Sam starts things off with a little pre-recorded intro about all the hopes and dreams she has to set Everyone and Their Mom apart from all the other podcasts: with sincere guests, and creativity.  This then goes into the new one-time-only theme song, and a guest who is not the one mentioned in the intro, because Lindsey actually likes her mom.  But instead of getting into why, things keep getting sidetracked with giggles and the usual amount of interruptions by the intern.

Gina, the only person in the room to have any alcohol in her system, attempts to have a real discussion, but ends up giggling, even through this week's comparison of inspirational feminist songs...a segment not set up properly, whatsoever.

I love call backs!  As mentioned in Episode 2 it is with great joy that I present to you Mom's bio from back before podcasts, when there were webcasts in the latter part of the last millenium.  If you're looking for other health-related webcasts from that era, go look up Carnie Wilson's gastric bypass surgery.

Episode 2: Familiar Fan!

Cutting the audio umbilical cord.

Gina reads the show's first fan letter! ...from her sister Mikki.  She also gives a shout out to her long lost son.  Later, she continues her quest to become a grandmother, even hoping if Sam doesn't get pregnant and she and Adam break up that she'll find a nice girl with a newborn to build a family with.

Sam makes several forgettable call backs to the last show and reads what is sure to become a repeat segment: "Corrections Section!"  She also goes on to take credit for the Governor coming out (word play) in support of marriage equality - but Sam excludes polygamy.  She also says highly offensive things, and tries to make it clear that it was all done with sarcasm.

Plus: Gina and Sam make comparisons to love songs from each other's generation, and break the news that Maxx has been let go after only one episode, only to be replaced by a slow "intern".

Episode 1: Introduction to Cursing

Gina gives a short run down of her career in actual radio, being a height/weight proportional diabetic, and her hatred of a resturant that would not let her wash her hands after she played in a fountain in a sketchy part of Seattle.

Sam convinces Gina to curse into a microphone for the first time, spits a Salt n Pepa rap, reminices about a sexy mother's day present, and introduces Maxx - the phone with a custom soundboard app - as the third host.
